I’ll let you into a little secret, I love hot dogs. I love eating them, I love making them and I even love looking at them. And as a little tribute here is one I conjured up as a midnight snack..


Just a hot bun, 2 75% pork hot dogs (best I can seem to find in the UK), yellow mustard, pickled gherkins, jalapenos and sweet onion relish of some kind.

I finally got a new laptop, after a really long search to replace my iBook G4 (900Mhz, 256mb RAM etc). I was torn between keeping to my mac laptop roots and going for a macbook, or being sensible and getting a windows based laptop with better spec for less money. In the end I decided for the latter and went for the Dell Vostro 1310, basically as soon as it came out.

Pretty much everything I have to say about it is contained in the video, and I’ve answered quite a few questions people had in the youtube comments.  But to sum up…

Good

  • It’s a nice looking machine, I think
  • It’s pretty light at just 2kg
  • Price wise its a really good deal
  • Can do a bit of everything, light gaming, portable yet powerful.

Bad

  • They shipped it with the wrong keyboard (which they’ve said they will fix, but have yet too)
  • The fan seems to come on a lot, but it is pretty cool
  • Although the keyboard is quite nice feel like, the g key is starting to stick..
  • Vista is poor, causes BSOD’s in WoW, sometimes won’t let the laptop sleep etc etc
